Signal & Soil

Nargis

Product leader, economist, writer — finding signal in the noise, cultivating blooms in the garden.

Turning data into decisions, language into connection

I lead teams to build impactful products at Google. My current focus is creating great Search Ads powered by the latest AI models.

I previously led product work across Cloud and YouTube Ads. Before Google, I helped shape Adobe's Marketing Cloud. I hold an MBA from MIT Sloan and a BA in Economics & Psychology from Williams College, where I studied on a full scholarship and graduated on the Dean's List.

My career sits at the intersection of markets, technology, and human behavior — a space I've explored and landed impact in for over a decade.

Off-screen, you'll find me cultivating my garden or wandering through San Francisco bay area botanical gardens — listening to an audiobook, thinking about AGI, and how the best products, like the best gardens, take patient, iterative care.

What AI product teams can learn from the art and science of gardening

The hardest problems in agentic product development — non-determinism, calibration, resilience — have been playing out in gardens for centuries. We just have not been looking there. Users can plant any intent into an agentic product: precise or vague, well-formed or completely unexpected.
